Mystery Painting
November 25, 2009
A relative in Oklahoma sent this clipping from a newspaper
a couple of years ago, and I just found it in a box of unsorted
papers. I want to figure this one out if I can. What happened
is back in the mid 90’s I donated a painting (the one in the top
center of the photo with the multiple heads) to a charity art
auction. This painting was one of the rare works that I failed to
properly document before letting out of my studio.
Someone obviously won the auction and now hangs in their
collection. I just don’t know who has it, or where it now resides,
so now it’s a big mystery.
The art consists of twelve 5″x7″ panels bolted together. In 1995
I was doing heads as individual paintings on metal, but this one
I decided to create a grouping. It was a really cool piece.
Hopefully whoever owns it might happen upon my Blog and see
this post. Or even if luck has it, a friend of the owner will notify
them and have them contact me.
I already contacted the newspaper and the business spotlighted,
I did that back when I got the article and it was a dead end.
Regardless, it was fun to see it pop back up in a random
newspaper in Oklahoma City, the place I was born.

Donation for Auction (Nov. 6th)
October 26, 2009
I have donated a small head painting for the upcoming benefit to support “The Fresh A.I.R. Gallery”. This Columbus Ohio gallery creates a venue for public display of work by artists who are affected by mental health and/or substance abuse issues. The proceeds from this live and silent auction will go to support Fresh A.I.R. so they may support others in need.
The event is open to the public on the evening of Nov. 6, 2009 from 5:30PM - 9:00PM, located at the Design Market Place, 1800 E. 5th Ave. There will be entertainment, food and drinks available!
Individual tickets are $75.00 or 2 for $135.00. Contact Myken Lint at 614.225.0980 or lintm@southeastinc.com to purchase tickets.
A Studio Shot
I’ve had some requests to see my studio. In this quarter view of my studio you are seeing two areas where I currently work. The desk for the small paintings (typically the detailed characters), and the back wall for the large canvas’s.

Limited edition book
September 19, 2009
I’m working on the coffee table style book, so far I’m up to year 2003 section, page 150. The goal, to have it edited, and printed in a “limited edition/hard bound” version with a signed print for collectors, the run to be no more than #100. Then an unlimited soft cover edition at a lower price point.
I’ve posted a few samples for cover art, if you have a favorite your feedback is welcome in comments.
Once I know the price and production date I will post it here, or on my Facebook page. I am targeting this for the Holiday Season.
