This “Untitled” drawing measures 9″ x 8″ and is a graphite on paper, produced in my Los Angeles studio in 2007. It is signed and dated on the bottom left corner of the front side.

I recently handmade the frame which is a whitewash poplar wood with 100% archival museum mounting, floated with 1/4″ frame space and UV glass.

Yesterday evening I was honored to be asked to speak about the “Garden Angels” exhibit with the ‘Sessions Society’ from the Columbus Museum of Art.

One of my favorite art days of the year, installing the new paintings at Sharon Weiss Gallery. Most favorite is tomorrow, the opening reception! Update, I’ll have a few small watercolor sketches available.

Two Little Heads for ‘Gracehaven’ 50% Donation

What I’m doing is taking the (2) two remaining “Little Heads on Metal” and offering 50% of the sales to help the non profit organization, Gracehaven (House) in Columbus Ohio. Once completed, this will be the only house of it’s kind in the state of Ohio. An extended description of Gracehaven is listed below.

Each Little Head on Metal painting is $500. I will either ship the art to you, or you can pick it up at the studio if that’s easier.

When someone buys a painting I will place half of the sale price as a direct donation in Your name (if you so choose to allow, otherwise it’s anonymous.) One “Little Head on Metal” is: $500.00 The donation going to “Gracehaven” will be $250.

This sale will go from 12/9 thru 12/16/2010.

All you need to do is email me directly telling me you which of the two, or both paintings you want. I will then direct you to my Paypal account.

After the purchase clears the bank I will place 50% of the sale as a donation to Gracehaven. The donation will be made in Your Name, also giving you the receipt. This of course can be used for your end of the year (2010) taxes.

I’m very willing to let half of the sales go to help Gracehaven begin their journey helping young women in need. My part is to help, so these girls are no longer controlled, manipulated, and exploited. Human/Sex Trafficking is a serious problem in our country which can seem so huge and overwhelming that we just do nothing. What we can do is work locally. Gracehaven IS working NOW to become that safe home to offer hands on services to these girls, several which they are already in contact with.
I want to help them finish building their new home, the Gracehaven. This donation is small compared to what they ultimately need to finish the build-out, but I have to trust in some small way it will make a difference. The fact is, even if you ‘consider’ participating with me in this sale you are projecting positive energy. Thank you Gracehaven for breaking ground, building the new home, allowing this sale to happen, and specifically giving my Facebook friends a chance to be of service.

About Gracehaven (House) and your Donation:
Gracehaven provides shelter and rehabilitation to girls under the age of 18 who have been victims of commercial sexual exploitation, and raise awareness among young women about the issue of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) in order to educate and equip them so that they can avoid becoming victims themselves.
Gracehaven (a non-profit established in 2008) is the only organization in Ohio focusing on domestic minor sex trafficking. They will add 10 beds to the total of 39 in the United States for human trafficking victims when our shelter opens. Currently it’s under reconstruction.

Gracehaven Programming Costs:
It is very costly to provide a safe place for these girls in an environment that also gives them an opportunity to heal physically, mentally, and spiritually as well as get an education. You can make a direct impact on these girls lives by sponsoring them in one of the following ways:
Housing: You are enabling us to provide safe and secure home for one girl.
Programming: You are financing various educational, exercise, recreational activities and field trips, cover school supplies and a library.
Counseling: You are allowing us to provide christian counseling to one girl. Education: You will provide a child with a wonderful education.
Holistic Healing: You will ensure that your girl has a secure roof over her head, nutritious meals, christian counseling, wonderful education, and a variety of leisure and recreational activities.
